Congratulations to all Show Winners !!!

The BSMO Board

08.04.2009 7th BSMO Speciality Show in Wesel on 8 November 2009

This years speciality show - and the 10th annivers
ary of BSMO - will be held in cooperation with the NKV e. V.

You can already register for this event on the following page: http://www.nkvev.de/meldungonline.htm

Like in the previous year, we will try to offer a Fifé judgement during our show. And as usual, you can look forward to an interesting show program. We would be happy to welcome you at our show!

15.01.2009 Is there a future for BalSiaManOri?

Our group of interest is reaching a crossorad. The BSMO Board remained unchanged for already 5 years now. And this is not because there has not been a chance for interested members to participate, but because noone seemed to be interested in joining the board.

in the beginning, some board members were working part time and had a lot of time and energy for our group of interest. We were able to offer 4 magazines per year, the annual general meetings were well frequented and the interesting programme during these events was very popular. In 2006 and 2007, we had to cancel the meetings because of a lack of interest - though we sent out several invitations, only a handfull of members was willing to come.

As our job situation has changed dramatically, we tried to install a new team for the editorial work. Unfortunately without success, you can clearly see (or not see) that the last magazine is obviously missing. In addition, the print prices have increased considerably and we had to reduce the number of magazines to 2, as we did not want to increase the membership fee.

Only our speciality shows are still very popular, but is this a sufficient right to exist for our group? On top of this, most of the exhibitors are not even members of BSMO.

During the next days, we will contact all members personally, in order to discuss if the group of interest will continue to exist - depending a lot on the readiness of each individual to contribute to the group work.

Reservation for our General meeting 01st - 03rd of October 2005

Dear members,
At the moment we are in the preparation phase for our next annual general meeting scheduled for 1 October - 3 October 2005.

The meeting will be held in Berlin again, which I have to admit facilitates the organisation considerably for me. As it will be a bank holiday weekend, we hope for a large attendance.

It makes sense to make the necessary travelling arrangements early, as at the moment the prices for train or flight tickets are still rather cheap. The room prices vary between 52 Euro for a single room including breakfast and 84 Euro for a double room including breakfast, I have arranged for a room contingent at the hotel Sachsenhof which is located near the city center of Berlin. The prices will only rise by 8 Euro for a single room or 14 Euro for a double room if we book less than 12 rooms, which is however quite improbable.

After arrival of all members on 1 October, we will meet in the afternoon and have coffee and cake together. Afterwards an evening programme is scheduled, we did not make a definite choice yet, but possible activities are e. g.:
* - Pomp Duck (ticket price 106 Euro including programme and 5-course-menu)
* a musical
* - Quatsch Comedy Club
...
Further proposals are very welcome! Please do not hesitate to contact me in case of concerns regarding an event either. This subject is currently discussed in our internal forum, too - so it would be nice if you have a look in our member area from time to time.

Sunday morning: individual spare time, as for sure several members would like to go shopping near Potsdam plaza
Sunday afternoon: 2 p.m. opening of annual general meeting
Sunday evening around 7 p.m.: dinner and joint evening in one of the many Berlin bars
Monday: individual spare time, e. g. for sightseeing / museum

We would be happy to receive your reservation soon. Please let us know, too which evening programme you would prefer.

The members of the board look forward to a large participation. Of course you do not need to book the full programme, if you would like to attend the annual general meeting only.

Best regards
Dennis Pomrehn

19th june in Duisburg - Special show for oriental breeds

Like in previous years our interest group BalSiaManOri is holding a special show in 2004 for oriental breeds. This special presentation of our 'Orientals' offers the opportunity for an almost traditional meeting of our members. Guests, visiting the exhibition, are most welcome and find the strong group identity of our members inspiring. BalSiaManOri as a top performer will surely reach out high in 2004!

We are taking great care in the selection of our (show) partner. It will be a show event doing justice to all participants, which will be Siamese and Oriental breeders as well as Balinese and Mandarin breeders. The club "Deutsche Edelkatze" has successfully conducted world exhibitions in the past and can be considered highly professional.

Our special 'Oriental-Breeds-Show' will be conducted on 19th June 2004 in Duisburg in conjunction with the club "Deutsche Edelkatze". BalSiaManOri will have their own "Best in Show" and will also perform at least 3 informative presentations on stage. A wonderful opportunity to introduce the variety of our cats. An information outlet of BalSiaManOri will also be present.

It is our great pleasure to present unique ceramic trophies; we owe a sincere 'thank you' to our member Thea Specht who is the kind sponsor. Each trophy is a piece of art and any owner of such sculpture will fondly remember our special 'Oriental-Breeds-Show'.

The common bond of all breeders who register through (by the means of) our logo will be supported at the show, cages of their cats will be in a rectangle area in the exhibition hall. Be prepared for surprises!

An excellent demonstration of the club's high standard is the manifold representation of our oriental breeds. In the past we were proud to present 60-80 cats per special show, there is no doubt that 2004 will be successful once again. It is not important whether members belong to Fife organizations or free clubs or whether earned points will be accepted by their different clubs - our aim is to present as many of those unique animals as possible to our public.

For this reason - please register for our Oriental-Breeds-Show and be sure to enjoy an exciting weekend in Duisburg! Take the opportunity to have your cats judged and meet our members!

You will find more information and registration forms under www.BalSiaManOri.de or www.DeutscheEdelkatze.de . Also please feel free to contact our chairman in person: Vorstand@ BalSiaManOri.de.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Duisburg and promise a stimulating weekend.
