Javanese / Mandarin

This breed has got quite a few names: Oriental Longhair, Javanese, Mandarin or Angora in the United Kingdom.
This breed is not very old- in the 70th Oriental Shorthair Cats were mated with Balinese Cats.
Breeders call these cats "a present made by all oriental breeds": she has the elegance of a Siamese, the various colours of the Oriental Shorthair, the long, silky coat of the Balinese.

Like all Oriental breeds the Javanese is extremely close to her people, she needs the contact and wants to be with her family. She is playfull and talkative, always ready to play or for a joke.

Apart from the length of her hair she is judged after the standard forn the Oriental Shorthair. All colours and patterns that are allowed for the Oriental Shorthair you can find with the Javanese as well.
